Hello!
I am here with a card for the current Tuesday Trigger challenge at Moxie Fab World.
Love this pattern so much! My first idea was to stamp a similar pattern on a card base. I looked up some stamps, and then I remember this doily die by lifestyle crafts. Using the negatives of the die, I made this card:
Some of you may recognize a similar card which I had made some time ago. I had used the same technique there. I recall at that time I did not have a metal sham, and it took me a lot of tries (wit a lot of masking tape on the back of the die) to get it to cut through all those tiny pieces! However, this time I just had to run it once with the sham, and the pieces were literally falling off!
I placed a dot of glossy accent on the back of the little pieces and pressed the doily onto my card, putting few acrylic block on top. After some time, I removed the doily carefully, and (after some re-glue-ing, tearing and cutting with my x-acto knife) colored the pieces with Copic markers.
Here is a close-up:
Thanks for stopping by!
Tasnim, you really have so much patience! I would throw up my hands in frustration before I got half of those little pieces adhered! Your card is amazing! Perfect background, perfect colours, perfect take on the trigger!
Girl, you have got to let other people be in with a chance of winning a Trigger every now and then – its just not fair!! 😉 This card is amazing. I am blown away by it, in fact! It’s absolute genius!!
Tasnim, this is gorgeous. I can’t believe you took the negative of the die and put it together so precisely.
Stunning!
a w e s o m e ! ! !

Totally in awe!
This is soo pretty! Well done 🙂
MashaAllah
Oh my!…You keep coming up with one stunner after the other!..I can’t believe how much work & patience this card must have required…Coloring those tiny pieces & then adhering them so patiently….Like always this is a perfect take on the trigger!…I just love it 🙂
You totally knew I was going to LOVE this to pieces, right?! I’m always so excited to come check out what you’re going to be doing next, and this is certainly no exception. SO ENJOY how you’ve taken a traditionally old-fashioned doily and turned it into a modern and graphic image on your card. The mix of opposites is always what makes me fall in love with a card, and you’ve nailed it on the head with this one. So very smart of you to put glue on the pieces before taking them out of the die. It must have been killing you to wait for it to dry, so you could see how it turned out!
Mashaallah your work is really awesome.i like this one.
Another fantastic card and take on the Trigger! You always do such a fabulous job.
SO perfect for the challenge!
