Runway Inspired Challenge #31

Hello there.

We have a super fun inspiration photo at the Runway Inspired challenge this week!

check it out:

Do you notice her “Taxi” shoes?! There is so much to draw inspiration from, but I decided to go with the prominent colors/pattern on this one. Here is my card:

Runway Inspired #31

I wanted to get the look of her T-shirt with my central panel. Do you notice how the stripes show through? But I didn’t want to use vellum or copy paper…so ended up using the same card stock as the card base. However, Jennifer did get the look! So you should definitely check out her card!

I had made another card before making this one. I wasn’t too “thrilled” with it, but wanted to share it anyways:

It is supposed to be a Birthday card. The stamp and sentiment is from an Inkadinkado stamp set. I think it’s a pretty bad joke (I didn’t find it funny)…but it kind of went with the gesture of the girl! 🙂

The sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp, and the winner will get  a$15 gift card to their online store!

For more inspiration please check out the rest of the design team. I promise you, you will be amazed!

  1. Aw… another TREAT to see two takes of yours, Tasnim! I love BOTH!! I love the simplicity of the first one–so chic and sophisticated! And the 2nd one is pure FUN! I know my son would give this kind of card to his sister–LOL! It’s their kind of “humor”! This card totally makes me smile! You sure have gone above and beyond! Love that about you!

    • Thanks Virginia! You are too kind.
Now that you mention a brother giving this to a sister…it totally makes sense and sounds funny! I guess I didn’t think of it that way!

  2. Wow, Tasnim, I love your first card. These colours and patterns are almost irresistible. You girls on the DT make it hard to think up an original idea, though, because you all ROCK!! The second card is fun!

  3. Love your take- the stripes are fab. You’ve definitely captured her essence. That sentiment is pretty random but I guess humour is different to different people!

  4. Love your take on the inspiration photo! The first card is so elegant and I love the pop of yellow from the butterfly! And the second card is awesome too- it definitely made me smile!

  5. Such a brilliantly simple design, Tasnim! The angle of the butterfly pointing to your sentiment, the vertical sentiment, the colors, they all just work so well together. You really have such a GREAT EYE for design!
