Have you seen the yammy Tuesday Trigger inspiration at Moxie Fab World? It is too good to pass up 🙂
I went for a very literal interpretation (which I usually do), except in my card, the design is like wall decor:
The wood-grain pattern is a free digital paper from Mel. I printed it on an off-white paper and trimmed it (unfortunately the trimmer was bad and wouldn’t cut straight). I adhered the wood-grain piece directly on the card base, which is Walnut cream card stock from Bazzill. Again, I did a pretty bad job as I was taking it off and placing it trying to make it straight when my piece itself wasn’t straight!
Next I adhered the pink squares which are like little vases. Wondering how they are like vases? Here is another shot where I placed a small branch of dried flowers in one of them:
This is how they look close up:
The pink flowers are real flowers as well. They are cherry blossoms which I had picked earlier today. Normally I would have made some paper flowers, but since I am away from home and don’t have any of my flower punches or dies with me, I decided to use the real flowers.
I wonder how they would look like dried up…I will do an update photo next week.
Given all the imperfections I was still happy with the way this card turned out. I suppose it just goes with the natural elements in it.
Thanks for stopping by!
