Hello everyone!
Back with a card inspired by this week’s Tuesday Trigger:
Past few days have been very busy, and after a long tiring day I thought I won’t make a card. But I couldn’t resist this soft vintage inspiration!
I took out my lace spool and some blue vellum, and made this simple and quick card:
First I wrapped the lace around the base. Then I stamped the vase on a masking tape and used it as template to cut out previously-made-sticker blue vellum. I sketched the branches then traced over them with Antique Linen Distress marker.
I laid down the blue vase, and since it is vellum and transparent, I could see the branch extending into it. That is the look I was going for (delicate glass vase), but somehow it just didn’t look good 😦
So I took out the vase, adhered it to white card-stock and cut it out again. In short, I could have simply stamped it with light blue ink on white card stock and trimmed…
For the finishing touches, I added dots of liquid pearl to the branches, and stamped the sentiment with Antique linen Distress ink.
Before I leave, here is a picture of the beautiful moon here tonight:
Thanks for stopping by!
Love your hand drawn branches, and the liquid pearls on the end. Too funny about just using blue cardstock for the vase … hahaha, it’s all part of the creative process, right?! Wonderful card, and perfect for the Tuesday Trigger!

How perfect is this? Very! Love this, Tasnim! Very much!
Lovely take on the trigger Tasnim. I too love your hand drawn branches and all of the little liquid appliqué blossoms. The velum vase complements with a different texture too, so delicate.
This is so pretty. The delicate vase and branch are perfect for the trigger.
Such a pretty card. I know the feeling when you don’t love a card- but I think its completely lovely. The lace ‘table’ is just lovely. x
Aw, this was a very good post. Finding the time and actual effort to make a
great article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a whole
lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.
I always spent my half an hour to read this
blog’s posts everyday along with a cup of coffee.
