Hello there!
It’s been a while since the last Runway challenge, as there was an extra Tuesday in July. I am quite excited about this one, we have an amazing inspiration and some cool prizes!
So let’s get to this week’s Runway look:
Rich and gorgeous, right?
But before I mention how I was inspired, let me say that Penny Black is sponsoring this challenge, and they were very generous in sending us some goodies to work with.
One of the stamps that I received was the the Verdant stamp. I decided to use it in black, and add some flowers in red/pink to mimic the dress pattern.
I stamped the leafy vines with Versafine Onyx black, then outlined it with a gold gel pen. I also colored in the leaves with a black marker as the impression was not quite solid.
I stamped the roses on white card stock, outlined them with the same gold pen and then trimmed. I adhered them with different levels of foam tape to give a gradual increase in height.
I also made two additional cards using two other products that I received.
Here is a card that I made with the Bashful die:
For this one, I inked a 2.5″ x 3.5″ white panel with SU! Rich Razzleberry. I applied ink from one edge, thus creating the Ombre. Once that was done, I used the die cut the shapes by placing the die once in front and once on the back of the panel. I then adhered the pieces on a slightly larger gold panel.
The third card I made using With Flourish cling rubber stamp.
Here I simply stamped the frame in gold, and made the flower using SU! Blossom Punch, along with a distress ink and spays of water. I left it without a sentiment as I thought it looked elegant enough without one. I suppose it would be a nice card to give to our mothers or aunts 🙂
So what’s the prize for the winner? it is going to be three preselected stamp sets from penny black!! Play hard my friends!!
And one last thing, don’t forget to stop by the Runway Inspired Challenge blog to see the awesomeness that the design team created! I tell you, every time I saw a new submission, I thought to myself “Wow this is awesome!”
