Hello there friends,
We have some exciting news at Runway Inspired Challenge. Joni Andaya from Paper with Love has joined our team, and I tell you, she is an incredibly talented lady!! I am very happy to be designing alongside her 🙂
Let’s see this week’s inspiration. We have a very cool and chic outfit:
Among all the stripes the first thing you notice is the gorgeous set of colored ones on select parts of the outfit.
I decided that I would start by stamping 4 (pink, gray, yellow and blue) stripes around the center of my card base. However, once I got to the yellow, I liked how it looked and didn’t want to add blue… . After at least three different approaches (while being careful not to contaminate by card base) I came up with this:
For some reason, I was determined to use a metallic element in the focal point. So once the fussy-cut-flourish got the green light, I played around with some metallic brads and embellishments until I settled on the one shown. Only after I had photographed and edited the card did I notice that the model’s handbag had parts shining like metal. Ha! Coincidence!
I don’t know if you can see, (for I definitely didn’t see it from the small photo) but the model is wearing a pretty cool necklace. I saw it when I went to the website and enlarged it. I had chosen the flourish completely out of whim, but I was quite surprised to see that the necklace could easily be translated into it. Somehow, all the peace just fell into place 🙂
Make sure to stop by the Runway Inspired Challenge and check out what the rest of the design team came up with!

Haha, design by coincidence – love it! Beautiful card Tasnim, love how you highlighted just some of the colours from the striped design then blinged with the embellishments to a crescendo!!
It looks royal 🙂
Fabulous, terrific idea to pull out just certain stripes, and the flourish embellishment is very chic 🙂
Love it Tasnim…you always make something beautiful! Thank you for kind sweet words, you are so sweet!
Beautiful and elegant!
What great colors together, and love how you have the brightest one next to the sentiment to draw your eye there! Your metal embellishment goes perfectly with the flourish. Wonderful combo, Tasnim!
there is something so beautiful about this card. I love the embellishment and the layout very much! it’s pleasing to these eyes!
