Hello!
I am back with another CASE Study challenge. This week marks the last inspiration from our April muse Jaclyn Miller. I had so much fun CASE-ing her work!
Here is this week’s inspiration:
Isn’t this composition quite interesting? I was inspired by the loose elements and the colors used here.
My card:
Not much work on this card. All I had to work on was the butterfly embellishment, and the rest was positioning and assembling. I stamped the butterfly with distress ink Picked Raspberry on water color paper, then used a wet brush to spread the color all over before trimming it out. On the card base I splattered some Heidi Swapp Gold Lame color shine (it’s gorgeous!).
The patterned paper is from a retired My Minds Eye paper pack. The label saying ‘grateful’ is a left over from an older project. Notice that the letters are not perfectly spaced, which is why it was cast away, but I am glad I didn’t throw it away as I think it works well with this card. The flair is from Bossy Jocie, here is a better look at it:
I was debating whether to keep the twine or not. I usually go for clean and controlled designs, but I decided to take the plunge and keep the twine 🙂
I hope you get a chance to play along! Make sure to stop by the CASE study challenge blog for more inspiration.
Thanks for visiting!
Swoonworthy Tasnim!
In love with everything about this!!
Another amazing card Tasnim! I love the little flecks of embossed gold throughout and the butterfly is beautiful!
Just fabulous, Tasnim – glad you kept the twine 🙂
I like the twine– I have a hard time with ribbon and twine as I prefer the clean construction as well– but you know, sometimes it ties a card all together–ha-ha!! It echoes the stitched sides in her card. Lovely!
Awesome card, Tasnim, and so very you! I could pick this card out of a line-up and match it back to you in mere seconds. LOVE it!
This is a really lovely card Tasnim. I love every element.
