Hello!
A new challenge at CASE study with our May muse Wida brings this gorgeous scrappy piece of art for inspiration:
I had some washi tape sitting on my work surface as I had been brainstorming ideas for the Gallery Idol 2014 contest. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to make a card for the contest before the deadline, but I used the washi tapes to make this card:
As you can probably tell, I was inspired by the many layers and their concentration on the right side of the card. Making my card was super easy. I first splattered some Graphite Glimmer mist on to my card base, then adhered the hand-torn washi tape strips on the right side overlapping each other. To finish the card, I adhered a butterfly which was punched out of SU! silver glimmer paper.
If you haven’t already, do stop by the CASE Study challenge blog, I promise you, there are tons of AMAZING projects from the rest of the design team 🙂
Absolutely love your card – perfect example of how to use wash and your wash tapes are so yummy!
Rats, I was waiting to see what you’d come up with for Gallery Idol. But, it’s not like you’re crazy-busy running a wildly popular stamp company or anything … LOL! Love your collection of washi here.
Love that you used washi tape to CASE Wida’s card! Your color scheme is fabulous and the glittery butterfly is the perfect finishing touch!
Fabulous, love the idea of “stacked” embellishments and your washi tapes worked beautifully for this beauty 🙂
Hi Tasnim! The colors and textures are terrific together! The glittery butterfly is a perfect addition.
its very artsy, very random. I love the piece.
What a beautiful card. Love the pretty washi strips.
