Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Butterfly foliage

One last card for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge.

This card was easy to make…except for the inking part. Usually it is no extra hassle, as I use distress inks, but here I used an ink from Stampin’Up. It was a little difficult to get it onto paper and then make it blend smoothly. But once it was done, I just adhered the die cuts with a glue pen and popped the sentiment with foam dots.  The background was clear embossed with a Hero Arts stamp before applying the ink. This technique is called emboss resist, if you are new to this, you can look it up in my video tutorials.

Thanks for visiting!

Card: Blue- Violet Hydrangea Blossoms

“Thank you” cards are always so handy, you never know when you need one.

This is quite a simple card using the technique called embossed resist. I embossed the white blossoms with clear embossing powder on white cardstock, and then sponged ink over it.

So, without further delay, here is the video of how I made it :

Card: Stampin Up! Art of the Orient

I have been thinking about this card for quite some time, and when I made it, it didn’t come out quite as I imagined it, but I think the result is not so bad.

I used Stampin Up!’s Art of the Orient stamp set, and created the background using five different shades of pink and red ink Pads.

The inspiration for this card was one of TinTin’s adventures; The Blue Lotus. It is an adventure set in China, and when I saw the above mentioned stamp set, I immediately thought of this book. I would say the book’s cover was the main inspiration :)

For the steps, I decided to make a video. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
